Mike, a great poem that speaks to the hearts and minds of all who are
unfortunate to know war up close. Greek poetry is rife with such poems. Good work.
Ah, about the bamboo. That poem is a part of a longer series. It follows the exploits of Alexi and Berit. Two young people who meet on a beach. The last one you read is at the point where they've gone into the fields to fell bamboo in order to build a hut. Alexi is showing Berit how to do it right...
