It is important to stay in touch with friends
I have lost contact with three of my close friends from high school and would love to hear from them.

Tigerprincess, it's sad but it also happens that the people who were once the center of someone's world, or closer than family, sometimes can become strangers becasue we grow apart. Ten or twenty years after high school, those friendships often have no basis, because each person has changed. On the other hand, some do and can last the test of time, and even years apart mean nothing.

It happens
and the older that you get, the worse it gets. There is another blogger on here that I went to high school with. It took us almost a year to figure it out. People change and their lives change. What was good for you in high school is not always good for you as an adult. Sometimes you have to wait for reunions to catch up on people's lives and its strange to see how much they have changed.

I'm good about this...
But, when I'm "friends" with someone I don't let them off very easy. They have to REALLY want out to get rid of me! :)
A friend that I met online when I was 12 is still someone I talk to on a regular basis. He's one of my best friends.
