Spitfire has got it right.  Blogging is like the real world in that we tend to drift towards people with like minds, and avoid the stirrers.  We may listen and appreciate the point of view of the stirrers but we don't fraternise with them.

There are lot of people who are incapable of seeing another's perspective. I feel sorry for them. There are some I could do without but I learn something from everyone.

BB,

I like and appreciate so many Blogit "residents" but yeah, there are a handful I could definitely do without. I just avoid even reading the writers I know are just gonna piss me off cause I'm not here for the purpose of arguing or debating with someone whom will not even consider listening to another view anyway. I just try to appreciate every individual blogger for who they are and their unique writing style. We can tell a lot from a writer by not only their blogs but their comments to others. Says a lot about a person.

Yes, people do drive me crazy, here and elsewhere, but I love most of 'em 'cause there's something familiar...;) I have further thoughts on this, but I may write them in a post, if you don't mind.

"...look at me, listen to me, love me, and take me seriously..." It sounds strangely pathetic, but in reality, we all desire those things both within the Blogit fences and without. Granted, some around here obviously desire it more than others. If I hazard a guess, it's an attempt to make up for some deficiency in other aspects of their lives.

Beach, another great post! I like a lot of the stuff that goes one here
because it is the raw material for someone with an interest in psychology.  Who knows, I might write about it all....

I can't agree with you more! I write because I enjoy it, and I've developed a few good relationships over here, with people who always seem to have very sane advice when I need it. So, rest assured that you're the only one who thinks that way.
