I felt my mortality when I read of Johnny's passing. I watched him for two decades and he was a big part of my entertainment, considering that he was the only consistent source (network programming being what it is). I wonder how many lives he had just such an effect upon, how many felt that they lost something when Johnny left the show and when he died.

Yes, he was the original host. His humor had maximum effect, though it was often quietly and mildly delivered, compared to today's loud standards. Great tribute.
