Thanks, barnabee, for reading! You've missed his point. He does acknowledge that terrorist activities are covered, but his point concerning them is that the coverage is handled in such a way as to make our military look like a bunch of helpless, simpering saps who are sitting ducks for the terrorists. The coverage gives the clear image that the terrorists are winning and we are getting our butts kicked. Read it again, and compare it to what the news media reports. When was the last time you saw a news report that portrays the American military in a positive light, that gives accurate coverage of success against the terrorists? Case in point: The terrorist's leading bombmaker has been captured. How much coverage did the news media give it against terrorist attacks? The news media is rife with the sort of folks who called our heros in the Vietnam war baby-killers, and they have no qualsm at all about depicting the military in the worst possible light at every opportunity. Case in point: The Toledo Blade, as hostile and biased a newspaper as you'll ever see, waited until the 101st Airborne Division was being deployed to Iraq to run an absolutely scandalous series about its purported atrocities in Vietnam. Why then? To discredit one of our most honored divisions and keep the "baby-killer" lie alive.

Wow!
I think this post proves that an American serviceman fighting in Iraq has a certain view of what is going on. I think his view is accurate in terms of what is going on in the area in which he is involved, however he has no idea about media coverage. My god, there has been huge amounts of coverage on the people abducted and brutally murdered. I have not read one story that does not paint those abductors in a terrible light. He's not connected very much to media coverage if his point of view is that the terrorists are being portrayed in a positive light. It makes sense that he would have a distorted view of that coverage; I imagine he's been busy doing other things.

Many News Medias are no friend of Patriotic American.
Many news medias are Americans worst enemy. They hide their bias agenda beneath the skirts of freedom of speech. To highlight any positive news on how well the American troops are doing in Iraq would weaken their agenda to bringing America to its knees. Wake up and smell the coffee anti-American news medias. Americans are not falling for your prapaganda. This was evident in this last Presidental election.
