I sympathize. Before we got this new computer, I was unable to make any font changes or anything when typing my post. In the place of italics, I used capitals.

That is Indeed...
...a colloquialism. It roughly translates as - there's no way on God's own Earth I would ever consider doing anything like that.
Italics. Sore point. BLOGIT STILL HAVEN'T GIVEN US MAC USERS THE ABILITY TO FORMAT WITH BUTTONS, AS WINDOWS USERS HAVE. WE HAVE TO USE HTML, AND MOST TIMES, I CAN'T BE ARSED.

I have no idea what "fuck that for a game of soldiers" means (perhaps a British colloquialism?), and I would recommend that you italicize "own" so it becomes "eat your
own shit" -- this clarifies it. Very illustrative story. The cynicism of some big-business leaders and the ignorance of their supporters in government (such as the current U.S. president) is extremely frustrating, indeed.
