I had a pasture. I remember running after the Mallett boys on a hot summer day. I remember feeling the sticky sweat roll down my face--only it wasn't sweat. It was blood. I'd cut my face on a barbed-wire fence and the boys ran home crying. Funny--I was embarassed about that until high school graduation. Good story.
