Wow!!

I almost fell off my chair when the President said the following in his inaugural address:

"From the perspective of a single day, including this day of dedication, the issues and questions before our country are many. From the viewpoint of centuries, the questions that come to us are narrowed and few. Did our generation advance the cause of freedom? And did our character bring credit to that cause?"

I see your point about Saddam being the big bad boogie man but there were and still are rulers in the world that have committed greater atrocities than Saddam.  Kim Jong Il for example.  But Bush isn't raging a war against North Korea and Kim, Jong Il admits to having weapons of mass destruction!  The only difference between Iraq and North Korea is the oil factor.  So the whole "let's invade Iraq to free the Iraqi people" I don't buy it.

And to answer your question on why liberals are always challenging conservatives to question their beliefs is because, well I can't speak for every liberal, but I question EVERYTHING.  I remember September 11th and it didn't have anything to do with Iraq.  Bush lost ALL of my respect when he forgot about 9/11 by chasing Saddam/famtom WMDs and not capturing OSAM BIN LADEN, the person responsible for the 9/11!

Liberal arrogance and presumption are what lost them the last election.  They seem to think that anyone who voted in favour of Bush is either delusional or just plain evil.  Michael Moore's prejudice towards conservatives is simply embarrassing to him and all liberal-minded people.

Thanks for reading! I almost fell off my chair when I heard one of our esteemed congresswomen (representing Cleveland, I believe) cite him as her inspiration, in so many words, for her joining the protest of the Congressional certification of Bush's re-election.

I think this is a great post. I think you bring out some good points
the liberals won't touch. I also think everyone sees through Michael Moore. Even the libs know he is just a big windbag. They wanted to beat President Bush anyway they could. I don't think most of them believed what Moore was doing was right. We do have some serious questions we need answered. Where are the WMD's? Everyone knew they were there. This should cause us all a little concern. I don't think the hate and vitriol will stop and we probably won't ever have a good dialouge about politics in our country. We get more partisan each day. We are a long way from coming together. I fault both sides, but I think the Democarts prey more on people's emotions and try to keep them under tow much more than the Republicans.
