You go BB!
Do your thing. It'll be wonderful for you to see what you can do with your stories. Great advice too. The seeds are indeed here in the stuff we post.
This one The trouble with moments in the sun is that they pass, and quickly. is a great quotable quote. I'm gonna steal this one if you don't mind and post it over the old monitor where I can see it and remember to act on it before the sun sets.

Actually beachbelle,
I've been told that I have kind of a cute butt, that aside go for it. I attended many judged art exhibits and very often disagree with the judging. Usually the judges are artists themselves and they tend to lean toward their own styles. It always help to know ahead of time who the judges are so you can submit work that fit their category. If at first you don't succeed just keep trying, you'll find that person that thinks your work is just wonderful

Could be dangerous!
I have a bunch of stuff too that I could start sending off but it's just sooooo tough to make yourself do it. You start saying to yourself, "I'm going to do all this work to get these stories off to these competitions or publishers or agents and these guys are going to send me a 'form rejection letter' and then I'll plunge into depression and question my skills as a writer."
And really--who needs that crap??

Hey I resemble that
Big Blogging Butt comment ;)
I have been thinking about doing the same. Maybe when I do my re-write on the Blogit Review piece I'll enter it in the Short Shorts contest.
Beach how do manage to get me off my butt on a regular basis? Thanks!
