Right you are, mary_x,
nothing negates the facts. Except a little time, a little obfuscation, a little historical innaccuracy, a little propaganda, and a little apathy.
Do you get the feeling that the little fact-finding jaunt Jeb Bush did at Colin Powell's side in the tsunami-drenched regions were little more than a photo-op for pre-grooming the man for a presidential bid? I mean, really, what the hell business did Jeb Bush have over there? Was it because he could lend a sympathetic word or two since the state he governed was hit by four hurricanes in succession this past year? Give me a break. Hiding in a bunker and having others rebuild the mess around you does not qualify you for a fact-finding mission to a devastated region. Or does it?

Calling something by a label, or definining is a good way to dismiss an argument, but it doesn't negate the facts.

Saul,
For the makers of body and jeep armor, it's not such a great war. Did they not contribute as much as the more sophisticated equipment? This is a great war for the Bushes: it's ultimately unwinnable, like the drug war, it just goes on and on, and the civil liberties fall by the wayside: No-fly lists with political enemies names conveniently placed, National driver's license standardization, a new intelligence cabinet position with the CIA nd FBI combined under one roof, databsases of credit, medical and god forbid, grocery store receipts combined. It's a great war for the Bushes, geez, I can't wait for President Jeb Bush.
