While she was yet alive
the whole Church already regarded her as a living saint. Maswerte lang siya -- in a sense -- because she got media exposure. But to be fair, when another future saint (John Paul the Great) is encouraging her process, then you may call it fast-tracking.

Actually...
the Devil's Advocate is also appointed by the Vatican (one of our friars work in this capacity) once the process starts. If it is true that Diego de Herrera is a martyr, the process may be quicker than say, like that of Mother Ignacia, foundress of the RVM sisters.

There is a Devil's Advocate in the Vatican whose job it is to find out of he is. If the process starts now, we may get an answer by 3005. Di po ba?
