Yep...
that about says it...powerful imagery, can almost taste the sweat and blood...
Barry Sadler, the guy who wrote The Ballad of the Green Beret, also wrote a series of books about an imortal Roman named Casca, he was the man who swung the hammer that day, and wielded the spear...condemed to remain as he was until the second coming...acutally pretty good, particularly the first one...that told the tale of Golgotha...
