Some advice
I just purchased a Dell zd7000 series. I am really pleased with it. I got the version with the larger screen and number pad. It is quite large and fairly heavy (as far as laptops go) but unless your net weight is less than 120 lbs. I don't think it's a problem to carry around.
I will say, though, I saw a laptop the other day (NOT a tablet PC) that it was twice as big as. (sorry for the grammar)
Check out CNet.com. The rank just about everything you could imagine, with both staff reviews and customer reviews. My brother's in the industry and he uses it pretty often. I've also found it very helpful.
