electric,
It's a grand plan save for one teeny-tiny little lilliputian miniature diminutive detail..............we don't know who "they" are!!

quirky.....lets go.......get them now...........you can ...................

start by telling them all kind words,.......then we will surprise them........i want you to think about any wrong any.......guy has ever done you............then......boy oh boy..........will they be in trouble........giggle.......then .we will quietly walk away holding hands......lol......

Electric,

I've a better idea...you hold them down while I beat them with powerfully wielded words until they cry "uncle!"

Electric,
that's an excellent idea, whoever made that up didn't know what they were talking about, did they?

I'm glad you haven't stopped embracing the fertile palette of life!  You do it so well through your poetry.  And shame on the schmuck who inspired this poem!

GG,
Yeah I guess you are right, the ultimate aim is to elicit emotion, right?

quirk...i'd take the wincing and turning away as a compliment.

I've had people say the same about some of my poems, and that's what I was going for.  good job with this

Alf,
Three "greats" from you, a poetry whiz...........now that is GREAT!

Taps,
I don't know---wincing and wanting to turn away can't be good can it??

Quirky...
A great message here, as told by one that has learned it.  Great imagry and structure throughout.  Great job...well done...

Quirky - almost too visual.    It made me wince and want to turn away.   I guess that makes it good.

Quirky...I could hear the crackling of the fire~the harshness...the popping

even the occasional "whooosshhhh" in your vowels. Excellent imagery here.
