JanesOpinion -- you started it lady
here's an idea. Try a little less acid in your initial contact with people.

Gome
if it makes you feel better to so noxiously degrade my response, fine.  Whatever floats your boat.  As it is, I CHOSE to comment on only one of your points.  Some of us actually have a life and choose not to spend hours wielding a poison pen.

JanesOpinion --- you got your little rant off of your chest, good for you
I guess we can assume that English isn't your first language because you seemed to miss most points entirely. It really is just too damn bad if you cannot handle a voice that does not gulp down your own homegrown propaganda. I have nothing against Christians or Christianity but I do have a lot against anyone who thinks they have a right to call their own religion the one true word when they do not know squat about other people's beliefs. Instead, like a typical citizen of a dominant culture you think that somehow other people's views, beliefs and faith systems don't count or are inferior. With that as a mindset the notion of you even speaking of missionary work as a noble endeavour is nothing but ludicrous. One more time, the gospel is your word, the world is not one big extension of America. You might want to repeat those words a few times until they sink in.

Interesting slant, gome

You talk about how missionaries are banned in many countries.  Duh.  What's your point?  You make it sound as if those of us clearly in favor of missionary activity are too stupid to realize that. I know they're banned. Again, DUH!  It's because the majority of those countries are Muslim or atheist or other religion and they're afraid Christianity will make inroads.  So you have a communist country where the dictator-leader-egomaniac thinks he's the official State god.  Is it any wonder that leader is going to ban Christianity?  That fast spreading virus of which you speak?  Yeah, if it was me I'd be anxious too if so many of "my people" were turning to a religion other than the forced state religion with its sole focus on me.

Stating the obvious and attempting to be clever doesn't help your case.  But keep writing -- you and the others who are so hell bent on being antagonistic towards anything Christian.  If it makes you feel better. . . .

Nothing is perfect.

At the very least,

something is getting done.
