It sounds like you can stir the pot. Every family needs that.

Hah!!
How true it is: you may raise your voice with pride, so long as it's not by your family's side.
Hope you're getting the lead and cobwebs out all right. Best of luck with it all.

HAHA, void. I hope they realize they got caught. The ego of some I know wouldn't let that faze them much. I would be highly embarrassed if I was caught that way.

Tapsel, you're so right! I like to play
little games with them sometimes. For example, I'll stop talking in mid sentence and give them a broad smile and say "Go ahead, what are you thinking? I'm listening..." I get some unbelievable reactions.

void - Don't you just love the ones who, you can tell by looking at them, are thinking about what they are going to say next instead of paying any attention to what you are saying.

So true, Tapsel...
it kind of takes the pleasure and good feeling away sometimes... I myself love a good discussion, especially the ones where the interlocutors actually 'listen' to each other, rather that just hear, as if the other is just noise that needs to be overcome...

void-is, some people's idea of celebrating any and all holidays is the opportunity to be together to rant, argue, and complain about anything and everything--especially religion or politics.
