Okay, look, you are missing the point.

I am not now, nor have I been in the last eight weeks, in the top 10. Yet my blog pays for itself each month, and with the exception of last month, I have earned $5 to $10 each month. I didn't blog much last month, so I didn't earn much.

The fact is, blogging takes me mere minutes a day. Fifteen minutes a day, tops, to add to my blog. Usually less----like five minutes. Figure an hour a week. Which means that the month I earned $10, less my $3 subscription, I was earning about $2 an hour. Okay, that's not minimum wage, but for five minutes a day, I don't expect more.

My blogs do better when I actually write about interesting things, as opposed to bellyaching about what's wrong with life, the universe, and BN. And it takes time to build a following. I only earned about $3 last month, because I took almost 3 weeks off. That means that there are people who think I am worthwhile enough to click on me every day, in hopes that I have added something.

My advice to you is to stop crying about how little you are making, and start talking about topics of universal interest: Scott Petersen, one-size-fits-all clothes, diet fads, the latest baseball scandals, weird fantasies....anything that might grab someone's interest and make them a regular reader. (My highest grossing post was one about my envying a really skinny chick, only to discover that she didn't wash her hands after using the bathroom.)

So stop the pity party and start writing! Then your bottom line will go up, which it won't, as long as you are whinging.

The price of butter MollyB!

What does that have to do with the price of butter, or the heart of the matter MollyB?

ZEPHER
It's my understanding (and somebody correct me if I'm wrong) that current subscribers will remain at the 2.99 rate through the end of 2003. The 5.99 only applies to new people coming on right now so I think we won't notice a difference for awhile.
