How can you tell
If love means heaven or hell?
Maybe love’s a bit of both
Maybe it’s just as well
That we love what we hate?
Can anybody relate?
Does anyone know what I mean
Within these words that I state?
Maybe love is the key,
Maybe love’s the only
Feeling that we really have
And love feels on what it feeds.
Love could be like the earth,
The middle of the universe
And every other emotion
Branches from pleasure or from hurt.
Now in the center we are
With love being very near or far,
Love leaning to the negative
Or leaning to the positive parts.
Every emotion we feel
Could stem from love that is REAL.
What if feeding love with love
Is the whole secret now revealed?
I know I love you so much
That I really hate your guts.
My love only turns to hate
When it is treated the same way.
So this love has helped me
To fight the blindness, and see
No matter how mad I can get at you,
Love is Love, it won’t leave.
I know that it's love
because it rises above
and overlooks the good and bad things
that we both
are made of.
