You would have loved it. Usually it is you who makes we want to see what you see

Beachbelle - I wondered where you were when you were not here. It
sounds like you make good use of your time.   Sounded great.

I do love some of your phrases, beachbelle.  Reading some other bloggers, I think a few people feel the way you do just now.  I've been tossing a coin to see whether I should keep blogging or writing.  You needed a break, and with all the work you have pending it wouldn't surprise me if you stopped blogging.  I hope you don't.

In your place I would do the same. You must be good at skiing. I am a little out of condition for skiing. To be fit for skiing you must ski. Right?

Excellent
K, I'm off for a ski!  Later!

nice writing Beach
Glad you came back, selfish me.  Your mini break sounded divine, even if you had to share a bathroom. :)

Switching off gives us the energy to switch back on. I am pleased to hear that you had such a wonderful trip.

I got the lead on the travel publisher seeking authors through an authors' society I joined. I have found that signing up to a few writers' groups and societies has brought returns

Terrific post, beachbelle, at times we do need our own spaces

I've Been...
...'switched off' for most of the three months we were in Oz, and i loved it!

I love being back, but I love being away, too. It's about sanity and balance, I think!

(Don't suppose you fancy sharing those publisher details, do you? The ones looking for travel authors?)

When we forget those paths we are lost. Sometimes people distract us from that

posted by beachbelle on December 17, 2004 at 3:27 AM | link to this | reply

It is important to remember the world inside our heads and the infinite number of paths we can take to explore that mostly uncharted land.

Some might say that there is a huge volume of air between my ears, I expect, but I know those hidden paths.

Keep on blogging on.

Dave.

BB,

It's up to us then to learn how to juggle things when priorities and circumstances change.

It's all about balance I think isn't it. No my friend does understand because she is a writer but she couldn't believe the games that people play

posted by beachbelle on December 17, 2004 at 2:21 AM | link to this | reply

bb, when I rattle on to my sister about blogging, she just says, "Whatever

," and shakes her finger at me, telling me to get a real life. That this is like chatting and little else and a waste of time. I always feel deflated after talking to her. But reading good writing here makes me think that I'll write something apart from here, something valuable and long thought of and ......and then I don't.

God knows. But, walking on beaches and sitting on sands and thinking, talkling to friends, spending time with children,  and not logging on, are fabulous things and  more important than blogging, I think, but, but, but.........

I think the click is only counted once in the popularity contest but every time for the $$

Beach, I have a question......so if this is the second time that I "clicked" on your post, is that stricken from the record due to my first click?  Does the first click cancel out all the other clicks to follow on the same exact post?  Just a question......thanks

Beachy after reading you all this time I did not see your absence as
unusual. Last week seemed trying for you so a clearing of the mind was good.

welcome back Beach!
It's amazing what some time away can do to help you organize your priorities. I took a forced break while my computer had a nervous breakdown, and I have to say I wasn't overwhelmed with the urge to come back. But I did and I'm feeling much calmer about my place here.

It sounds like you're having a wonderful time, Beachie!
Thanks for dropping in here, as you were missed.

Vacation really puts things in perspective doesn't it? I'm about due for one, and hopefully I'll come back with a new outlook too.

Keep enjoying!

Sounds like a nice little mini-vacation from Blogit and from writing. We all need those from time to time. Oh, but how will you ever live with your "lowly" rank now, BB?

Hello Beachbelle,

I enjoyed your blog.  It made me feel sorry for myself, and then I smacked myself and said, "it's your own damn fault."  I need a vacation too.  Glad you had a nice time.

BB, it's always an interesting
experience to see how well we do when we step away from something. I don't miss Blogging much on those weekends when I have to be out of town. Glad to have you back.
