Beachbelle, our effort at the moment is to involve as many young people in the process as possible. Although we have not tried to use UNESCO to link up with other countries, but perhaps in the future. We would, however, very much like to have young people come to Pakistan and work with our youth. The cleaning of heritage is very rewarding and currently we are working on getting children of one city join hands with those of another. For example, for an event planned for 6 February in Karachi, we will try and get children of Bahawalpur, Lahore and Peshawar etc. to join us for a street festival. If we are successful in arranging for exchanges within Pakistan, we will try and engage young people from other countries in our next events.

Conservation
Tapsel-T. Conservation is wonderful work and I am enjoying it enormously. Because it really is connected with the whole aspect of safeguarding of heritage assets. My attempt and the work of Heritage Foundation Pakistan is all tied up with getting all sections of society invovled in one way or another in safeguarding what we have - and it is such a lot, going back centuries. Although the task is daunting, but if we take one step at a time and involve as many people as we can, we could achieve a lot.

Yasmeen
This is interesting and wonderful that you are finding ways to teach children the value of these places.
Through Unesco do you learn about people in other places trying to achieve the same things?
