- Go to Atttention George W. Bush: Abstinence Only Education Short Changes Youth
I wish we had a nationally funded abstinence program in Canada. It's easily the safest and wisest choice. Kudos to the Bush Administration for acting responsibly when it comes to sex education.

Excellent post. I agree 100%. A lot of teen pregnancies come from girls' wanting to keep a man around. One of my best friends had two children with a guy thinking the was going to stick around, and it didn't.

Ahhh...
But the support group that put Bushy there believe that even the mention of sex gives teenagers the urge to merge. Let's not do away with abortion, let's do away with the need for abortion. I know that's too idealistic but for heaven's sake, let's try. Teens today see enough pregnancy among thier peers, you would think they would know better than to get caught, but they don't. They need to understand, among other things, getting pregnant won't make daddy settle down, get a job and love your forever. I don't know if that ever happens but my niece thought it would work. Hasn't so far and her son is approaching 16 months. A lot of her friends are in the same perdicament, so what can one say of their comprehension level?
Thought provoking post, definitely food 4
