Had to reread this, Beachie, as I'm working on what I will say!
This is something that is much needed from all the writers here. You've got mail too, as I found an offering you will love.

Abe, I'd say never talk it out, it's never worth it. Always write it out how you want it, perfect it, then offer it up.

Beachbelle,
I think before I read your blog this morning, I'd previously answered your question in a parenthetical statement I made in this morning's "journal" blog... I'd been progressing along writing a fictional novel when I made the mistake of TALKING about it at a class reunion last September. What a Writer's Block that created... But I am occasionally able to do an occasional outburst of a little short short... see today's fiction. I have my favorites on Blogit, but I do see their weaknesses... now - to Hemingway.

Just reminiscing about a hotel in Orleans now, two summers ago. A little piece of Italy in France it was. Ta for the memory nudge.

This is a great effort. I would never think to tell you or anyone why I will write. I have written in my other careers before this. I needed to do what I did, I want to do this. I will do it soon. Thank you.

Many people are of the opinion that
writing goes hand in hand with reading. I have found that to be true. I was a voracious reader long before I started writing. The small successes that I have had so far are due in large part to being able to read, digest and apply what I have learnt.

what's your point? No one should have to beg. No one begs me to write,
and I don't need to be begged. Beg a writer to write? not much of a writer.

beache, how much do you pay? lolol .I noticed you mentioned writing
due to an addiction, have you ever been addicted to anything? You TRULY, MADLY, DEEPLY WANT, and really, it's all a need for yourself, not for anyone else, not even for money. That is a TRUE and MAD and DEEP want, when it's all for yourself and no one else, you get paid to write don't you? I don't. To me, Blogit's only six months old. No one knows about the things that I have written really. I'd rather not share, even if money is involved, not my good stuff. no. never. I don't and am not trying to be rude, but why do you care why anyone truly and madly and deeply wants to do anything? Just let them do it, feed yourself. .

I went away for two weeks in July, Beach. I was so burnt out, it wasn't
funny. I did find an Internet cafe right down the street from my hotel, but you know what, once I got there (and I did go), I couldn't go in. I thought, "why am I even thinking of this on vacation". Just enjoy. Being totally on one's own with a career is more draining than others imagine. Enjoy but let me know when you leave, OK????

I will do this, for both you, and for me.
I need to look into my own mind and see exactly why I do this and if I do, which direction, perhaps I need to go with it. One of your best today. A question all writers need to answer.
