Great job!
I wrtoe a post a while back expressing the same kind of sentiments regarding Satan (a total man-made creation)! I was nearly beheaded by some kindly Christians for it!

it's all about creating things almost of substance
I forgot what it's called
if a mental or other image exists, whatever that image is or is of, then that image becomes real, whether it is real or not.
this is a paranormal theory -- then that image becomes something with power.
so it is with the Jesus image.
and so it can be with the Satan image.
What is interesting is that people make a hnuge mythology out of a very vew statements or descriptions -- this is Heaven and Hell, and, particularly, Satan.
people imagine too much out of the few instances of a Satan or Lucifer that occurs in the Bible.
then others believe that imagining.
I've encountered "Satanists". They believe in a myth, but they don't know it -- the Satan myth is upheld as truth by religionists, so it is reality to both the adversary and the worshipper.
It's how you can explain until you're green in the face and demonstrate that this is mythology -- yet believers will persist in believing the mythology and virtually shout to you that it's real.
their house is not built on rock.

fear is a terrible thing, freerain,

and promoting the fear of the Devil, Beelzebub, Satan, Mr. D., or whatever name you choose from the legion, only contributes to said fear.  Preaching and teaching about the Devil, his deeds, his powers, and his works only empowers him and his presence among the beleivers.  Makes them fearful, paranoid, and insecure.  Constantly worrying about making an unchristian or sinful act, playing into the hands of Satan.  And, since they are but human, hypocrisy abounds.

The point you make about Christians being Satan-worshippers is valid.  Without the constant promotion of the evil trickster in our midst, there would be no need for good Christians.  Promoting fears of unworthiness (sinners), of abandonment (Second Coming), of exclusion (eternal damnation and hell) ensures Satan's existence as a cautionary figure, and also ensures God's as Protector, yin and yang.

Out of the three you mentioned

I TEACH about Satan. I dont preach him or promote him. I am speaking for myself of course. I give you that some Christians give Satan more weight ( in relation to Christians) than he posseses. This is a deadly deception. The truth is Christians must be aware of him and understand properly who he is, what his motives are and how he accomplishes them. That does not mean I ' fear' him. The adage' know your enemy' is the reason he is mentioned at all. The only way he can inflict harm on Christians is through deceit because he has been stripped of power and authority by Jesus Christ and that deceit is born from a lack of teaching the truth about him.

I believe you are referring to a post of mine entitled ' Do you think you can escape Satan' . That post was addresing non Christians. Non believers have no authority over the devil. They are his slaves ( unknowingly). They are his 'slaves' because they are helpless to escape his web of confusion, lies and passions without Jesus Christ.

The thing Satan is most afraid of is people knowing the truth about him, and the truth about Jesus Christ.

Jackie O,

Then why do you PREACH Satan and teach SATAN, and PROMOTE satan???  There is not evil but what you preach--

think about it--

Christians DO have authority over the devil
( by virtue of Jesus Christ) like you pointed out here, sadly they dont act like it. I for one am aware of my authority over him and I walk in it and I DO NOT fear Satan or any demon.
