Fear and pain
are two of the things that assure us that we are still alive. According to most religious teachings when we pass from this life will will not experience either of these. So you can always look at these as signs that your still here. I for one am very glad you are.

The Fear is Evil!
I'm sorry to hear about the fear. It is very difficult to get shed of but well worth every penny. The fear will hold you back from your dreams. It is the worst kind of evil and you must rid yourself of it.
What worked for me is a nose-to-nose staring match. You can't flinch no matter what the fear throws at you. You have to keep standing strong and true. Once it has finally exhausted all its resources, it will simply leave you to go find easier prey. Every now and then it returns to make sure you haven't decided to let it back into your thoughts and life. So be careful.
