Littlemisspickles I do know there are many young people who sign up just to defend America. My neighbor's son left for the main reason to "do something meaningful" as he put it.

I wrote, 'suffer the masses
for the fat on the hogs" because I sell to the government. I know what they buy, and waste is in the eye of the beholder. To me, the government is a bunch of crooks. Good post! :)

It is very scary
Seems the draft will have to be reinstated. The war is expected to last 10-15 years, and there aren't enough people enlisting. I had no idea they gave bonuses like that. I hope he comes through it OK.

I wonder if there are still people enlisting that are fighting for their country first and foremost? Not saying the guy you posted about isn't courageous (and I do hope he returns safely).
