word.smith   I use the computer for work like a piano and then have all my writing on my home computer. It's scarey to think of loosing everything so I finally starte doing backups to save files.

It seems a few on Blogit
including Spitfire and Sassy have been having pc problems. You're lucky you just got a new one sent in.  When I have my crashes, I just lose time and get frustrated until the problem is fixed.

I've lost stuff
on the computer, now I try to back up, especially my writing, periodically.  One fast way is to email things to a trusted friend or relative, but mostly I use a CD.  My computer at work caught fire last spring, so I was glad I had recently emailed myself the few personal things that were on it.  Timely and good advice.

It's kinda weird really,
like some strange balance to the world. As with humans and viruses so it must be with computers. Everything seems to have something that can take it out...

Yet, when it's humans doing the virus creation it just seems, well, stupid!

tapsel well kids might vandal their own school to pay back someone but computer virus creation just seems like an elaborate waste of time

Yeah, hackers are like thieves eh, they just do it for the thrill of not having to do something useful with their livesHappy you've got a new comp luv

loanlady - I do not understand people who create virus problems. When
I was a kid I never could understand the vandals who at times broke into the school and wrecked the school rooms.  Somehow, it seems to be the same mentality.

David1Spirit it is soooo dumb/ stupid, and I consider dumb and stupid to be bad words, for a person to spend skill time brain cells on such a negative thing.  What is the end run reward? Getting your face on the news with your hands cuffed behind your back?

I have said that many times before. These hackers and virus creators could probably be rich with their development skills. Why they choose to hide out in secret and commit malicious acts is beyond me.
