I wish I could share your family's enthusiasm over the Eagles, however, I feel that next Sunady will be a long and painful day for the Eagles and their fans. Of course, anything an happen. Remember in Jan. of 1981 when the Raiders beat the Eagles? Well, the Raiders were a wild card team who actually won it all that year, so who knows, maybe the Eagles will pull it off. As a huge Steelers fan, I could care less what happens and I may not even watch this Super Bowl, however, I would like to see the Eagles win but it is not likely to happen.

Growler!
Unfortunately there will be enough idiots who will pay to see this crap and thus the league will survive. I will not be one of those idiots.

David Halberstam wrote a book back in 1978 about the Portland Trailblazers, defending world champs by the way, called "Breaks of the Game" Many of the same complaints that you have in your blog were stated by coaches and management way back then. But the game survived and thrived in the Magic, Bird and Michael era. And it will survive this as well.
