Did you know that Merlin was rumored to be a Druid? Wiccans also believe in the sanctity of all living things around them. I agree that organized religion have lost sight of that fact and abandoned it for monotheism. One god is responsible for all so concentrate on the one and forget the rest in terms of what is sacred.
