BN--
Another thought, observation, opinion, suggestion: Could you please add a space between the blog titles on the right side of the page. They are so closely linked together, that it's too easy to inadvertently click-on to the blog title above or below the blog you're trying to click-on to. Truly, Solomon

Better, but...

I'm assuming the featuring of blogs in the top 100 is an automatic program.  While somewhat of an improvement, this still relies on a top 100 POPULARITY ranking to have a shot at being a featured blog, the result of which is we still have a bunch of overblown gossip columns rotating onto the front page.  Plus, they are not "featured" for very long, either.  Once you leave that page, they will be replaced by your program when you return by 3 more random blogs from the top 100.  That's hardly being "featured."  This system will continue to leave quality, undiscovered gems below the top 100... undiscovered.  IMHO, the "featured" blogs need to be intelligently selected by a human or humans who actually read them, deem them worthy of a little PR, and then featured for a whole day.  Perhaps you could take some of the profits you glean from this site and hire a reader or two as editors to spend a few hours reading and selecting blogs of merit to be featured.  Hell, you could probably get a whole staff of 'em for little more than free monthly subscription.   ~ Crag

A Trepidated Thought...
Where'd the money amount go? <SMILIE> It was in the left hand column under the number of posts?

better
Thanks for putting back the heading bars. That looks better. Now if we could just get the titles of new posts in the top ten.

I, for one, like the changes...
It adds variety. (Everything changes from day-to-day, so why not add a change to the BN?).

Most Popular Today

Based on member requests, we have restored a link to "Most Popular Today", formerly called "Today's Top 100".

The previous name was confusing to members, which is one of the reasons it was removed. We hope the new name will avoid any confusion with "Top Blogs".

OKAY
I see you added "Most Popular Today" aka top 100 for today at the bottom. I assume that's still an hourly thing. THANK YOU! Much better. Now if we can just get the title/sentence of the most recent post under the top ten blogs I'll be satified. Thanks for listening!

BN STAFF
OK, how about the top 100 and today's top 100 on the right hand side of the screen?  You then have space on the left of the screen for TWO different categories.  Good idea, eh?

DAILY 100
And what about the Daily top 100? Is there still a way to access that?

MollyB
Top 100 for the week has a link under the top blogs.  I didn't see one for the daily.

Molly...

Click on the "more top blogs" link beneath the top ten in the right hand column, and you'll be taken to the top 100.

Top 100
To see the Top 100, click "More Top Blogs" under the Top 10.

TOP 100 GONE?
Where are the top 100 sections? I go to both the daily and weekly top 100 on a daily basis. They are the main ways I read blogs. Now that you have changed the front page is there some other way to access the top 100.

CHANGES
The new front page looks unfinished and unprofessional. Isn't it possible to make changes while keeping the same, or a similar layout?

Also the top ten (or however many) has been made less prominent. That's probably a good idea but you have also removed the title & first line from each post. The title & first line is how people tell if something new has been posted. It is important and I notice it is still used in the featured blogs and new posts sections.

Since there is room to expand the top ten column vertically could you include at least the title of the most recent post? (Originally posted in community help)

Just one request.

No more changes.  Every few months the front page changes and people throw a fit.  With time, the carping dies down, and the next thing you know.....more changes, and a whole new round of complaints.

It's fine.  Stay with it.

Why adjust to something mediocre
Looks horrible, can't find top 100, no title or first line for top posts.

Thanks for the changes
much better.  We will adjust.
