Schizophrenia
I only wish that was true Damon. Unfortunately, Schizophrenia is in fact a brain disease, not a chemical imbalance like depression. Research shows that schizophrenic individuals see a significant loss of brain gray matter over time, in some areas of the brain up to 25% of gray matter is lost. So, it is in fact a disease, and it does in fact destroy the brain.

My Small...

...understanding is that it is a chemical imbalance in your brain. It's not destroying your brain, as a tumour would; it's just that it's working differently from "normal".

Get onto Google and see what the latest thinking is (NOT 1985!!)

And check out alternative and Eastern therapies, too. There's lots out there.

Good luck!

Unidentified Hacker - There have been many advances since what you are reading that was written in 1985.  That is 20 years old.   There are new medicines that work for many people and new studies all the time.  Don't ever give up.  Believe that you will find the right treatment for you.

Lots of people 'beat' so-called killer diseases like cancer. There is hope so don't give up. Guess you've tried all the standard 'stuff', huh?
