Freerain... Thank you very much... I actually
considered breast, but I decided chest sounded better, oh well.  Thanks again.

Beautiful Poem, Norseman

lovely imagery, with brevity, crisp and deep with emotion--tho--it's alright to say "breast" when speaking of a woman's chest.

Peace,

Freerain

amongst my poems.

I especially like the way the maiden and the warrior gaze at the North Star and feel united!  When I look at the stars, I think the same kind of thoughts ... how no matter what our cultures, we look with awe at the same sky and realize that the infinite unites us!  How beautiful!

Loan-Lady...I very much appreciate your kind comments.

The maiden could be some wife here waiting at the shore for her beloved to come home from Iraq, or some ancient Valcaree ...  Beautiful imagery and loving thoughts

Alf,
Liked it? If that isn't the understate of the year!

Quirky....Thank you for noticing. Glad you liked it.

Alf,

Oh, that was an incredible poem all right. The fair maiden who captures the Viking's heart would be a lucky lady indeed.

P.S. And you even used the "L" word--you never cease to surprise and delight.

Nicely done Norse God!
As always I should say. This reminded me a bit of that song that says," And even though I know how very far apart we are, it helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star..." I always did like romantic poetry and anything with vikings and fair maidens are just a bonus!

Suomynona...
Thank you very much, you made me smile.  Maybe it's too early in the moring for me, but I'm not sure what you mean by what happened in 1969...are you speaking of going on with second grade and all that?

Alf
Is there an end to your literary genius! A poet as well....I'm glad you have so many different blogs as at this time of night in Australia...8:20pm....there is not much going on around here. It is always a treat to discover a favourite 'author' has other surprises in store than those I am already familiar with....and waiting for the next installment of....hint....hint.....need to know Alf....what happened next in 1969?
