I totally agree.....
taking time to sort through the truly horrible, the mediocre and the chaff can be enourmously rewarding - there are some good reads here. In my opinion, it's the smart, snappy repartee, the clever comedic flings, and the interesting bio pieces, rather than the pitiable, woe-is-me-stamp-victim-on-my-forehead lots that spark the network - I can only deal with so much uber-introspective pieces.

I can relate
but reading is still important. That is one reason blogging is so cool. Most everything written here is short and you can read a variety in a short time.
True, not everything you read at BN is of the highest quality, but I think it is as important to read what works as what does not work.
