Have no fear
Well, it is unfortunate that the general public has such a misdirected view of what this and other disorders are. I'm certainly not dangerous, and the majority of people with this condition are not. Studies show that people with Schizophrenia are no more likely to commit violent acts than anyone else, unless they had a predisposition to such acts before being affected by the disease.

A little bit of both...
I have never had a conversation with such a person long to know them. There are horror stories about such people. Thanks, hollywood and broadway. I always thought it an eerie but undescribable saddnes they want to share but could not.

I have been hearing voices for about a year now, it didn't start out as pronounced as it has become, but it was there all the same. When you say you've always been afraid of people with this type of disorder, how do you mean? You've been afraid they would harm you? Or just felt weird being around them. And don't worry about offending me, it's damn near impossible to do.
