Oh, fellow curmudgeon, I think retailers like to call it Green Friday, and I agree: I wouldn't set foot in a mall or deparftment store last week if I were marched there at gunpoint. On a related note, internet sales may be up, too, because sales tax isn't chareged, which I think is bass-ackwards for encouraging local trade, but I still take advantage of it.
