Well said, GWBush.

Let them know that we aren't all mindless drones out here in the wasteland.

The inevitable historical turn toward fascism in the United States is firmly rooted in the ultraconservative atavism and the socio-psychological backsliding of the religious right since the Great Depression and World War II, cemented by the backlash against what is viewed as the ultraliberal social and political immorality of the '60s and '70s.  Oh, and their intense negative propandization of anything that doesn't lockstep with their agenda and the brainwashing-through-better-living campaigns over the years.

Give the masses multimedia pacifiers and a reasonable expectation to barely get by and you have the modern American lumpen proletariat, a multitude of Winstons ( 1984) who barely realize they're being manipulated but somehow powerless to do anything about it.  What a crock.  Let go of that damned playstation and that remote and climb up out of that couch, you vegetative semi-moron, there's a world out there beyond the Matrix that you can interact with...

What's that?  You can't hear me over the digital surround system and the crunch of your chip-o-the month?

I rest my case.

Oh, the horror, the horror.

We Give Up No Ground To Brownshirts...

...and some day you may thank us for being steadfast.

We will not cease in pointing out this administration's obvious intent on tyranny and terrifying the entire planet until we have a media that can be reasonably expected to do so for us.  We will not cease in pointing out this administration's reliance on, "double-speak," and other Orwellian techniques until we have an educational system in this country that is second to no one.

Six corporations own all the media in the western world.  That fact alone is not good for American democracy.

Public education has been systematically underfunded and abandoned by the Federal government since the 1980's.  A government that only allows for the education of its wealthiest is not good for American, or any, democracy.

We are now the world's largest organized crime syndicate.

We are no longer anything close to the dream our Founding Father's had for us in 1792.  We are just another thug regime in a long, long, long list of thug regimes who have come and gone throughout recorded history.  We are emotionally, spiritually and morally bankrupt as a nation.

We can not win in Iraq because our goal has to be the total subjegation of the Iraqi people -- and we can't get there from here.  We don't have the troop strength and Iraq doesn't have enough stooges to make up the difference.

All the Iraqi insurgents need to do is hang on, as we did during our own Revolutionary War with Britain, and wait for us to make a mistake.  The longer the insurgents hold out, the greater the probability that we will screw something up.  And when we do they will pounce all over us.  Just like the Viet Cong did in Viet Nam during Tet.  It wasn't the complete routing that was bad, it was the complete loss of the will to fight and die for someone else's mistaken judgment.

We beat ourselves the moment we allowed the Bush Family a toe hold in this country.  We should have strung them all up at Nuremberg when we learned that Prescott Bush had traded with the enemy in the run-up to WWII.  We beat ourselves when we allowed our values to be repeated violated by an illegal administration who knows nothing of honor and has no moral code governing their behavior.

Man, can you libs just give it up. This election is over.
The Republicans whitewashed the Democrats in all types of races. There is nothing more to be said about the whole deal. The voting machines worked well. The people working the polls did well. When you quote something from Cal-Berkley in your blog you are backing up. These people are some of the most liberal on the planet. The stuff they print is not worth wiping your butt with.Besides, if the best they can do is come up with 260,000 votes in Florida, Bush still wins the state! Please, give it up. Bush was the President, is the President, and will be the President for the next four years.
