I hope that you're dad can be open with you about this and that he can understand some of the difficulties you've been having. i know that can be hard. some of my own personal issues have come to light in recent months, stuff that i've hidden for years, then finally confessed to my mom. self-mutilation. when my dad found out, he totally refused to believe it. yes, that's hard. but other people's response can't be what controls us. you can't control how he will respond, but you can respond how you respond to his response :) stay well and be strong...

Just finished reading your last two posts. I hope your father will accept
you with open arms, and that this will be a bridge for closeness between you.

That's something I've been hoping for as well. While we don't have the best relationship, he certainly isn't a terrible father. I keep crossing my fingers in the hopes that this will bring us closer. We'll find out tonight

That's rough...
Unfortunately I can relate, having a strained relationship with my father. I've never had to call and tell him anything like that, so I can't imagine how you feel. But, maybe this will be something that will bring you back together in his quest to understand and support you. Stranger things have happened...
