good thoughts! i've come to realize that relgion isn't as cut and dried as once thought. it just not a matter of "I'm right and you're wrong". There's so many dynamics to it, and so much to be learned from everybody. But the one standard that we have to keep coming back to is the written Word of God. That' the only thing that is not relative.

Finding your comment in my blog, I clicked on your name and went through and read all your posts for this blog. I hope you continue with it, because already I am learning new things. I grew up Christian and attended both Evangelical (or something like that) and Catholic schools. Getting the different perspectives in each was an important learning experience, such as does the communion bread and wine transubstantiate (into the body and blood of Christ, or is it just symbolic?), do good works as well as faith earn one's place in heaven (Catholicism, whereas Protestants say faith alone saves us), etc. But I was never taught a great deal about Judaism except that the Jewish community soon after Christ's death decided not to worship him as the son of God. There are some Christians who believe this condemns Jews to hell (although I guess they cannot say this of Messianic Jews), and others who don't think Jews are condemned, but still think they are "wrong." This is my trouble with religion, one of the reasons I have distanced myself from dogma (of any faith). Still I find beauty and inspiration and some wisdom in religious traditions. It seems to me that if we want to truly re-unite the Christian community, it would involve both the reunion of Catholics and Protestants (some Catholics say the reasons the Protestants separated no longer apply anyway) and the reunion of Christians and Jews themselves, because Christianity's roots are in Judaism (such as Christ was a Jew, which makes Christian anti-Semitism -- which still exists in some circles -- really bizarre). Anyhow, I enjoy reading your posts. They are very well done.

Nice to meet a fellow messianic, midi!
That's awesome!! It really is amazing how so many people seem to be being led in the same direction spiritually. HaShem seems to be bringing both him people, and the nations, back to the Torah. It's a beautiful thing to be apart of and I thank Him for it everyday.

HalleluYAH!
So glad to find your blog tonight! Amazing! Over the past six months I have become a Messianic Jew. I love the music, love worshiping on sabbaths with my small congregation, love the miracles that have occured since I have begun praying using the sacred names, YHWH, the mighty God of Israel--so much power in His name. I was raised in a Pentecostal Church (Church of God-Cleveland, TN), attended churches over the years of practically every denomination, in the past few years even became Catholic for my Catholic soon-to-be-ex-husband (just another week or so and it will be final). YHWH has deliverd me, just as as He did the Children of Israel. He is so faithful and I praise Him! Thanks so much for your blog!
