I try to be as wide ranging and free thinking as possible. It's why I'm
still unmarried, I think.

Justsouno,

thanks for standing up for non-hypocritical Christians.  It must be getting lonelier by the day.  These right-wing moralists with so-called Christian values are making all Christians look bad.  Sort of like those Wahhabist and al Qutbist morons that make Muslims look so bad.  Intolerance is a sign of an ignorant, insecure, and weak soul.

Saul

I am a Christian and as sick of those who call themselves judge of those who do not choose to be a Christian. I am too, sick of those who call themselves right and they are not living by the code they preach. We, Christians, are not to judge any one who chooses not to be a Chrisitan. We are in more trouble than anyone else. We, Christians are breaking more of our own rules than anyone in the world. I apologize for such people as this man. Do not stand for any Christian to condemn you, it is not our job. God expressly tells us to stay our of the business of the world.

Saul, I feel your rage....
but extreme absurdities of belief seem to be the order of the day. At least these Baptists are not doing any violence. Let them rant and rave, their unreasonableness will be more revealed. That is what just happened to the Democrats in the election, in the other direction. Let the extremists rage on both sides-- I think it will drive more people into the central position of Moderation.

People like Phelps

deserve their own little corner of hell for making life miserable for others.

That is absolutely sickening, beyond words really.  While I'm not exactly sure if I believe in hell or not, I do think that people like Phelps who are so full of hatred will find quite a warm little surprise on judgment day....
