Well, I've never heard of that particular pill, but I do know that I'm so suspicious of medication I will not take anything if I don't absolutely have to. Which limits me to the pill. If my doctor prescribes anything for me I always give him the third degree on side effects, etc. Over the last few years he recommended various anti-depressants to me and I am so glad I refused any of them!

God, it's so scary! It seems like there's tons of medicine out there that does more harm than good. Have you seen the commercials pushing all the different types of medications? They go something like this..."I had terrible headaches that kept me from working, but ever since my doctor prescribed Lycotin ( my little made up name) I've been myself again!" She breaks into dancing through a field of daises, rejoicing in her new-found freedom from her fake actor headaches, all the while a voice, this monotoned fast- talking revealer, rambles off, "side effects may include liver failure, lung damage, circulatory issues, numbness in the hands and feet, foul taste in mouth, diarreah, vilolent behavior, uncontrollable trembling, heart murmor, scaley rash, extreme salivating, or constant shooting pain as if being electricuted. Ask your doctor if Lycotin is right for you.....Ask my doctor......hmmmm?? I don't think so!!

I am glad you got off the stuff.
It is no good and you are lucky to have gotten off that evil stuff. Now, you just have to get checked out and make sure you don't have any long term effects from the stuff.

That was close!
Can you imagine if they
hadn't pulled it off the market? You might have gone on taking them, not knowing what they could have been doing to you!

Bad Doctors
Oh goodness, that is a really scary thought. I agree doctors really need to take full responsablity for there action, but as the world is at odds the doctor care more about everything eles but the patient. I have prime example, my family switched over from Blue Cross to Medicare when we were living in MI. It was the worst mistake they could have ever done. My morther has back problems and she also sufferes from low blood sugar, which at the time we were aware of when she went for her doctors appoinment.
The day we went, we sat in a full office with only two doctors for 3 hours. Our regular doctor decided to pond us off on his cousin who was a doctor, his cousin fresh out of medical school couldn't find anything wrong with her but he felt best if they put her in the hospital, I wasn't having it. So he said I'll take some blood to check her platelets. Do you know it took three months to get the results and she had to call about that. Unbeleiveable.
If we where still living there, there is no doubt I would have sued the pants off that guy for overall bad healthcare. So I completely understand. Take Care.
