Oh, Angel,
I hope everything is OK for you. My mother took Vioxx (I asked her not to and explained why, but she doesn't remembe me saying that); she had 3 TIA episodes. She checked her records now and found it was while she was on Vioxx. She's lucky it wasn't worse.
I'm tired of the FDA, doctors, nurses, and pharmacists saying "everything has a side effect." The synthetic drugs have a horrible amount of side effects, and the testing doesn't seem to do any good. The idea that you should expect any number of serious medical conditions to cure one doesn't wash with me. Good luck!

I had a good friend that was taking a cholesterol lowering drug years ago
Angel. It was later recalled. He died from complications and his widow is now part of a class action suit. Terrible things I hear lately about drugs, seems like almost everyday. They need to develop better ways of testing, in my opinion.

Angelz, your Doctor is a dumazz. I owned Merck stock and dumped it six months ago when numerous law suits and complaints against Vioxx started rolling in. FDA forced them to take off market, although in trails it was marked as having exact problems you experienced. The disclaimers in the literature ( the papers the pharmacist might have given you that they are required by law to review with you and have you sign) specifically mention not to take with high blood pressure and certain heart ailments. So I blame Merck for advertising and drug pushing this through every short skirted pharmacuetical rep, your doctor for selling it without considering the other risks, and the pharmacy for failing in the last check. I have little faith in the Medical field ( like other institutions.Get on the internet and search out your symptoms and find Doctors who have written articles that are current reseach and contact them, send them your charts ask them to review and advise, nicely bug them to find interest in solving your complex and unique problem.

Z - I was on Vioxx for almost three years up unitl two years ago. I never
had any problems at all oddly enough. Am on Bextra now--which is utterly useless.
