You write very movingly, canine. I hope you are doing something else with this talent other than Blogit.

I can't believe I missed this yesterday - you should have called me - or
sent up flares - this is so incredibly good and such a touching story. My cousin has down's syndrome - she is the same age as me - and I never knew she had it until I became an adult--she was so gifted, is so gifted. thank you for this --you big lug you.
And yes, I'm crying--so shaddup!

Canine,
It is amazing what love can do to us and for us. Without it, everything seems dry as a bone, with it, the whole world just lights up. It sounds like you and your friends and family have something really special.

Canine...We do have much in common,
My family is very musical as well, especially my brother who is my best friend next to my Dad. I have a cousin who has downs syndrome. I was also a boxer, in fact I owned and operated my own boxing club here (until I got embezzled). So, your story, and your song touched me on several levels. Thanks buddy.

Canine - Great story and song. One of my most favorite people in the
world is a 70 year-old Downs Syndrome lady. I have known her since she was 10. When she was born the doctors told the family that she might live to be 20. She is the "jewel" of that family and of everyone who knows her.
