thanks for the  comment - I forgot to mention the poignancy of the character of the blind girl and particularly that scene that you mention - standing before the chaos with both certainty and vulnerability - thanks for reminding me of that scene

excellent observations

this is my favorite movie of the period september-october 2004 :) no, i'm kidding i really liked it. Ron Howard's daughter, Bryce was fabulous. at first when her first scene showed up, i was thinking: who is she? there is nothing special about this girl!! and she looked me in the eye (the blind sensitive girl she is) and proved me wrong... i loved the idea of how every time there is a chaos , she stretches her hand for order in his... it made me sentimental to the point of tears in two scenes: one was when she waited for him to come in the house from the danger of 'those who shall not be named' and the second time when she jumped off the fence and talked to the guard.

I haven't seen that movie, but I was browsing around and discovered you and was really fascinated with your profile  hoss.

I've often thought of the monastic life, but alas, haven't shaken myself to actually do it. Good for you and all your experiences.

Ah, Robdon at 68 I'm sick of growing, lol, besides with arthritis now it's too damn painful anyway, think me and cat are just gonna veg out and enjoy the adventures of others like yourself.

I will try and get that movie though man and thanx for writing
