I hadn't thought about it like that.
but it is interesting to know what someone else is getting up to on the other side of the world.

Loved that movie.
And I love how writers progress. Always getting better.

I think the analogy is that as in karaoke
some people will do anything for attention

I think that is because we can get the general stuff from a variety of sources and the everyday stuff about the minutiae is fascinating I agree

BB...
Your closing sentence in particular, gave me some food for thought It is interesting to note that when I do look at distribution lists, the people who are most read are not those who write about various subjects. The more popular ones are those who mostly write about their everyday life experiences.

Hey, Beachie, nice analysis.
I don't know if I find BlogIt much like karaoke, as everyone here is singing simultaneously, trying to grab the mike from everyone else at once. That's why I posted like I did, as it's the competitiveness that leads to some bad material. Trick posts, nonsense posts, list posts, and others to me, are not a "writing song" and never will be. There's no effort, just a need for clicks. If I went to a karaoke bar and someone stepped up to the mike, and just stood there not making a sound, I would be disappointed. The posts I mentioned, to me, here, were disappointing for that reason. I am looking for a song. But a good analogy just the same.

Karaoke
I love Karaoke. I've been going to a small Karaoke coffee shop once a week and I just love it. It's fun to lose yourself, much like losing yourself blogging.

A Norseman, can you imagine if karaokers sang their own material? Ouch
Very good point

I am not into it unless it is a private party like i mentioned and preferably in Tokyo. I have a Japanese sister-in-law so it seems likely.

Hey Billy, I think men may learn more about women here than vice versa
A lot of the male stuff is what we women already know. Good point. Thanks

Beachbelle...speaking to readers just like a good song...
no matter who's singing it.  Another way this is like kareoke is that girls get more play (clicks) from the men...this really is an interesting place to explore women's minds

I liked this post beachbelle, although I'm just not into karaoke having run competitions before and being totally bored with it all.

Interesting post Beachbelle,
As a Karaoke officianado in real life, hehe, there are some similarities but I do see one stark contrast between blogit and karaoke.  In singing a karaoke song we all have a different voice, but that voice is governed and restrained by the predetermined lyrics, and tempo of the song we are singing.  Therefore it is much easier to separate the wheat from the chaff.  I feel that blogit, or writing in general is much more subjective.  The author has total creative liberty with their piece and there is no right or wrong way for them to write.  It is uniquely their art, their craft.  One person may love it while another hates it.  In karaoke usually the audience agrees on who is good or not so good.

Beach
I was in the audience.  It's now another day and another scene and where, before I remained silent, I'm now standing up and applauding you.
