Oceandancer, yes I like the incognito aspect of it and also the fact that
they look for people with the potential to be great creators and aid them in their quest. I think that if I had the dough I would want to do something like that with my millions too. Great minds think alike.

Get outa town!
I love that idea. I've often thought if I won millions I'd do something like that. Pick out some struggling poor ass deserving person and help them out. All incognito like. Perfect. Now I just gotta win the millions so I can do that. :-)

Frankenkitty, never say never.
My thought is that it could happen for so many here on Blogit. Including you.

They look for creative potential, passion and social awareness, I believe. Honestly, I think that at my current state of evolving, they would pass me by personally-- but thanks for the endorsement though, ya never know, ehh? A girl can only hope...

I have come to the conclusion,
that I will never win anything. But I hope the person who receives it really deserves it. Maybe you? I hope so.:)

Rachel Anna, I hope they do.
Wouldn't it be great if a Blogit Alum became a MacArthur fellow? I can see it happening. There is a plethora of talent here.

be a great reason to come back.

LOL, IR. Hollee always calls you her future-son-in-law, I was teasing.
If you are referring to the MacArthur Fellowship, I was implying that you would be the perfect candidate. You show such promise at such a young age. Of course Hollee would be great to as would many other personalities on Blogit.

You know IR, it's all very hush-hush-- I don't think that the sponsors or
nomination committee would come up during the phone call for this non-profit.

leaning toward your future son-in-law, IR...

I wonder if they are sponsored by a particular cell phone company?
Choose Viacom - in case you're ever chosen for $500,000, you can count on us to get their call through to you...

Seriously, tremacc, I agree.
I was actually just kidding. I do think it would be cool even at 80 or 90 to receive such acknowledgment.

SPITFIRE, LOL.
I think the message that maybe they're hoping to put out there is to never set limits for yourself or give up on what moves you. Just a guess on my part, but that's a valid question.

That's pretty cool. But one thing I question. Why an 80 year old?
I mean, how much time do they actually have left? Well, I guess it's still a great honor to achieve and may give them more reason to keep on truckin.
