The payment system is controlled by readers, in that it is based on how often they read your blog, or online column. If a particular reader reads you 20% of the time, you will receive 20% of their monthly payment to writers.
This means that the writers who earn the most are the ones who consistently post items of interest. You can even write multiple blogs to appeal to different groups of readers.
