I was there for my last two years of high school
and a year of college (Chaminade University, also in Manoa). I was the hauole chick who didn't say "yeah" after every statement :) Good times.

Did you grow up in Hawai`i?  If not, how long were you here?

I went to high school in Manoa
at Saint Francis - more often than not soaked from the ride there in my Jeep!

Actually it rains quite a bit.  Pouring right now in fact.  And I hear the rumble of thunder in the distance.  I think our winter is coming early this year.

Jemmie, I can understand that
It is a beautiful and magical place. I'm envious of you!

I wouldn't give up my life in Hawai`i for anything.  I love it here!  But, of course, it's the only home I've known.  Every time I leave for a vacation, I get super homesick.

My grandparents always said
Hawai'i was a beautiful place to vacation, but not nearly as nice a place to live as you would think!

My personal favorite are the cloudless rainstorms.
