loanlady,

How very sad...You expressed this so gently.  I hope that little girl's family will find healing.

loan-lady
This is beautifully expressed. It is good to speak about these things although not to dwell too much

frankenkitty and Ben you both picked up on the Rain part.  The explanation the news/ police reports all gave was " the rain"  the driver was not speeding and wasn't under the influence. We had a heavy rainstorm on this school morning. I called the school in the same morning to see if they might be closed or delayed- but they were not. Our street was like a river.

witchflower- my daughter is so much like me sometimes it amazes me. She told me she was going to get her friends to brainstorm about something positive to do

angelz-mind Tragic yes. I called city planning and faxed them a letter requesting they reduce the speed limit on many city streets, and got a response that they had been flooded with similar requests

You're a good writer...I remember my pretty friend that killed herself in
1990...not the same but gone is gone and anything good stopped short is sad

That is very sad,

truly a tragedy.  Maybe the rain was the angels crying because they knew it was her time.  Sad.  Take care Loan_lady.

So very sad.

It's wonderful, though, that you and your daughter can help each other work through this tragedy.  Blessings to the girl's family.

we have been talking a great deal. For some connection it brings up feelings of other losses. You are so right talking does help

I'm so sorry to hear about this. Tragedies like this are the ones that really make me furious at God... I'd suggest just talking to your daughter about how she is feeling about all this -- my therapist tells me that it's the best way of coping with grief and loss is just to talk about it.
