I've been a big fan of the Punisher for years (I'm wearing a Punisher t-shirt as I type this) so I was going to be a sucker for anything halfway close to an accurate portrayal. They made him far too nice in the movie. Sad, yes, but not troubled, not
crazy as he should be. In the comics, his wife and kid only (not everyone in the entire bloodline) was killed by mobsters, but it wasn't any kind of retaliation thing. They were simply caught in a crossfire between rival families. It was the ultimate case of the wrong place at the wrong time. The randomness of it all is what drove him over the edge. Anyway, I liked the movie, but it was out of loyalty/love of the character. It really could've been done much better.
