Oh he has a fine turtle life roaming freely in our back garden all spring and summer. He weighs about fifteen pounds and eats his weight weekly in fruit and vegetables in the warm months. My vegetable garden is mostly spent now ( save the sweet peas coming up and blood oranges and grapefruit), If left outside he will dig a burrow two to three feet down and very long. The problem is if we have heavy rain he could drown as he does not wake up. He has a bum leg so I baby him.

I thought house pets
kept warm would not
follow the hibernation cycle.
