Playing music well
is a talent well
worth developing.

You are a writer.
The fact that it doesn't come easily only means you have a lot of emotion invested in writing. Follow your instincts, and don't let anyone force you into a mold. You have an original talent; each writer's voice is unique. I find writing difficult too, sometimes; other times, it seems to flow fairly easily. Regarding music, even my cats leave the room when I sing, but I do enjoy doing it.

The ability to play music is a wonderful talent. I would be happy to be able to sing in tune, no such luck I'm afraid!

Canine - I come from a family full of musical ability - I can sing - but
can't play anything despite two years of violin lessons. My youngest is like you - can teach herself any instrument--like my mother. It's quite a gift.
